Marcy Abbott Casement is a director and co-founder of Maritime IQ. She brings more than 30 years of work experience MIQ. She has worked in maritime, oil and gas, high-tech, trade association and government as a consultant and analyst with a specialty in safety, emergency management and environmental sustainability. Her work has included program development, risk mitigation and strategic and technical communications with expertise in communicating complex and technical information in the areas of environmental management, policy, industry standards, processes, and change management.

Marcy was a key contributor to two U.S. government studies on transportation and disaster response preparedness and co-author of several industry best practice guides in security and emergency management.

Marcy has a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and bachelor’s from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a long-time volunteer and advisory council member at Cityteam Oakland, a homeless shelter serving the needs of low-income and disadvantaged families and individuals. She lives in the Sierra foothills of California with her husband.
